Upholstery Services

At John Robb Interiors we aim to provide the highest standard of bespoke upholstery, re-upholstery and furniture restoration services. Servicing both commercial and residential clients we can complete any upholstery project, large or small. We also specialise in branded names such as Duresta, Parker & Farr, Beaumont & Fletcher, Zoffany, Orior and many more.

Re-upholstery

At John Robb Interiors we offer a fully comprehensive recovering and renovation service for your existing upholstery. Benefits of re-upholstery are:

  • More cost effective than buying from new

  • An extensive library of fabrics to choose from

  • Your piece of furniture already suits your space and is comfortable to you

  • It can provide an oportunity to alter dimensions to suit changing needs

The process would begin with a visit from ourselves to see the furniture, discuss your requirements and take all necessary measurements. Following the selection of your desired fabrics a fully itemized quotation would then be provided. Should this be acceptable our upholsterer will personally collect your furniture to be re-upholstered. The furniture will be stripped down and the frame, springs and webbing checked and replaced/repaired as necessary. The cushions can also be re-filled if required. Finally your furniture is returned, totally transformed and looking like new!

Be-spoke Upholstery

At JRI we can make any type of upholstered piece to suit individual requirements such as:

  • chairs

  • settees

  • stools, ottomans

  • headboards etc

Our furniture is hand-made for you with precision and passion, tailored to suit your individual style and size of room. Our highly skilled upholsterers are able to undertake any design and work closely with both our designer and yourself to achieve your desired piece of furniture.

At John Robb Interiors you have the opportunity to choose from our extensive range of upholstery fabrics that will compliment, enhance and add to the originality of your bespoke piece of furniture.

Loose Covers

Loose covers are an effective way of changing or restoring the look of the furniture in your home. Even the simplest, most basic chair can be easily transformed into an attractive feature with the addition of a loose cover. Not only are they an economical way of changing a rooms decor and providing an opportunity to introduce new colours but they are also the perfect disguise for worn or damaged chairs and sofas.

While a loose cover provides a semi-casual fit the optional use of piping will strengthen the seams and neaten the edges creating a more finished, tailored look. The type of material has to be chosen carefully. The correct fabric will produce a well tailored, professional looking cover. It should be washable, pre-shunk and sufficiently hard wearing. At JRI we will guide you through all these points ensuring that the fabric chosen will produce a stunning end result
